5K Run for life - Benefiting SIDS

Come out for some family fun and support a great cause. SIDS is the number one cause of death in infants between one month and one year of age. It is sudden and unexpected and even after an autopsy no cause of death is found. In a typical situation, parents go to check on their infant they think is sleeping only to find their baby dead. This is the worst tragedy parents can face, a tragedy which leaves them with a sadness and a feeling of vulnerability that lasts throughout their lives.

Proceeds for this event will once again go to The American SIDS Institute, which is dedicated to the prevention of sudden infant death syndrome and the promotion of infant health through research, education and family support.

SCHEDULE: Rain or Shine    

7:30 am  Day of Registration / Packet Pick-up begins at Owens Memorial Park

8:30 am Registration ends

8:40 am – Start time Kids 400 Meter Run

9:00 am – Start time 5K Run

9:05 am – Start time 2 mile fitness walk

Directions:

AC Expressway Exit 38,

from West Bound turn Left at top of ramp,

from East Bound bear right after toll ($.40) onto Williamstown Rd turns into Sicklerville Rd.

Follow 1.5 miles, at light bear right onto Rt. 322 towards Glassboro,

Follow 1.5 miles, at light turn left onto Tuckahoe Rd,

Follow .5 miles, turn left into Williamstown HS, follow signs for parking.

 

BACK BY POPULAR DEMMAND:

Quarter mile kids run right before the 5K start. This is for children ages 5 to 8 of

registered parents to give them a chance to show there stuff.
