NBD 5K Run for life

Count down until NBD 5K 2009!!!

What a day for a run or walk it was. With 130 walk ups on Saturday this first year event went over 430 runners and walkers. Thank you all for your generosity and your support as we were able to donate $20,000.00 to the American SIDS Institute, doubling our goal. Hope to see you all again next year on April 18, 2009!!!!

I encourage everyone to PLEASE provide email feedback on what you liked and did not like so we can continue to improve this yearly event.

Race results can be found at RunTheDay.com, use the button on the left for a direct link.

We’ll be posting pictures through out the week as we get them in. Thank you all once again for your support and we are getting some great feedback to use for next year.

Thank you to one of Monroe Townships finest, Cpl. James (Jim) Kelly for the excellent job of keeping the runners safe before, during and after the run. Traffic control was in the hands of one of the best, with no problems reported.

Thank you to the Monroe Township EMS for doing a wonderful job of taking care of everyone and making sure everyone got home in one piece.

Thank you to Mayor Mike Gabbianelli for starting the run and the Williamstown High School Quartet for the beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.

A special thank you to Jim Bonder the Director of Monroe Townships Parks and Recreations for working with us every step of the way to make this a great success and the guidance of the park and recreations committee members.
